| The Instructor: Capt. Don Sweet will be your instructor. Capt. Don holds a valid U.S. license as Master of Steam and motor vessels of 25 gross tons, and is a state certified teacher in the state of Michigan where he has fourteen years experience training both High School students and Adults. Capt. Don has a Masters degree in teaching from Mary Grove College, and 20 years boating experience on Near Coastal, Inland, and the Great Lakes waters.
Growing up in Florida, Don moved to Michigan after spending 13 years in the USMC.
Don is also President of Visual Films, Outdoor Productions. A film company that produces fishing programs for TV and the home DVD market. |

Our Captains training room is state of the art. For your comfort during charting instruction and examination, we have outfitted the room so that each student has their own drafting table.
Our instruction is delivered via Power Point, Lecture, Video, and group discussion.
Our Michigan Location is
Located on the bank of the HuronRiver and is only 20 minutes from the USCG REC in Toledo, where you must take your license paperwork.
