 | Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) $850 Complete. This license is most appropriate for uninspected passenger vessels which by law are limited to six paying passengers. Usually consist of smaller vessels engaged in charter fishing, whale watching, SCUBA operations, and tour cruises. This is a 56 hour class. Four exams are administered that correspond to the four modules of the class; Navigation Rules, Deck General & Safety, Navigation General, and Charting. All texts and equipment are provided for use during the course. |
 | Masters (to 100 Tons) $999 Complete. This license is most appropriate for vessels carrying more than six passengers for hire and carry a U.S.C.G. certificate of Inspection. Vessels include: Large charter fishing boats, small ferry boats, dinner cruise vessels, and whale watch boats. This course is 80 hours in length and tests in the same four areas as the OUPV license but with broader topic areas. |
 | Upgrade OUPV to Master, $399 Complete. This 24 hour course for those holding an OUPV license covers and tests on the additional knowledge required of the Master license. Students complete a comprehensive exam at the end of the course. |
 | Commercial Assistance Towing, $199 Complete. This eight hour course meets the content and examination requirements necessary in order to receive this endorsement on either a OUPV or Masters license. |
Marine Radio Operator’s Permit
(FCC License Exam Prep $249).
This four-hour course is designed to enable professional mariners to earn their FCC Marine Radio Operator’s permit. All mariners who operate Single Sideband AM or VHF-AM radios on vessels carrying more than six passengers for hire, those operating in international waters, and those on vessels of 300 GT or more, are required to hold this permit. Frequency selection, legal requirements, and equipment capabilities will be covered through lecture and discussion.
Visual Technology is an Authorized testing center for the FCC exam which immeadiatly follows the instruction. FCC Exam Fee: $50.
License Renewal Class, $199 Complete.
This eight hour course meets the content and examination requirements necessary in order to renew either an OUPV or Masters license.
